Covering the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival for the second time is already a challenging project for me. However, it has always been the best time to get immersed in the classical music scene and get acquainted with international musicians. With over a thousand young talents from thirteen countries from around the world showcasing their orchestral and choral pieces, the festival did not only take place in Vienna’s most prestigious concert halls like Konzerthaus and Musikverein, but also at Haus der Musik, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, as well as at the Prater Amusement Park. It has always brought me a great deal of enthusiasm to document this five-day musical event, not to mention running around from one place to another to capture every moment of it and I would say that every second of it was worth the effort. Pictures may not emit sound but at least, I’d like to make you feel the emotion and be part of the spectacle by simply looking at these captured moments during the festival.
